Hit it yesterday 4:45pm to 5:45pm. 15lb braid to a small swivel the a 16" @ 2lb leader then a #14 treble.
They stocked yesterday one guy said 400lbs ? Caught 2 and lost 2. Berkley green floating garlic power bait.
There was about 10 guys working the corner most left at sunset them I moved in. Seemed as if the fish were 8' 12' from shore.

Seen a few guys with chairs, ice chests, slip bobbers all getting skunked. Here I am flylining getting hit almost every cast once I found the spot.

Good for you DR!!!!! I hit my local park last night and caught about a #12 Carp on #4 pound test line. "WHAT A FIGHT!!!!"

thanks for the report... my cousin was out there today 2/6 in the AM and hit his limit with some good sizes... hoping my kids catch at least one on Monday... can't get out there any sooner...

Woke up early this morning and decided to hit up Cerritos today instead of wait for Monday. My cousin was already there so he had our usual spot saved. My kids were chomping at the bit to go, so loaded them up into the car and off we went.

Cast first lines about 7:30am and it was slow going for the first 2 hours until my 11 year old landed the first for the day.

My 5 year old was next to hit, so I was ready to call it and go back home to sleep, but they got the fever and demanded we stay. It was pretty slow most of the day until we left at 11:30, but between the kids and my cousin, the kids had plenty of dinner to bring home.

All in all, a great day. Slow in general for most folks out there, and a number of fish on that got away from them. We had a couple that managed to unhook just before shore.
