Hello there all. I was planning on hitting the duct with my bro and a friend for the first time ever. Wanted to see if anyone can help me out. I was wondering where is a good spot to start that is nearest to OC? I don't want any honeyhole (unless you wanna let me know =0) j/k) just looking for a general good spot to start out at.

I'm planning on bringing flukes, jerkbaits and rattle traps.

Any other suggestions on tackle or area?

Thank you and enjoy the day.

No place is the hot spot!..

Just go and fish and report.

It's January and going to be tough unless your DK.

Expect a skunk and be happy with anything caught

keep moving until you get action. Winter is tough but most DD's are caught this time of year. moving water or you in for a long day.
Good luck and post up your report.

Only advice I have on spots is don't stop in Hesperia. I did see some active bait the other day but they seemed to be happy and safe from predation.

Thanks for the response all. Doing some research and yeah, looks like winter is tough at the duct. If we decide to head out. Will for sure post a report. It's just good to get out even if we don't catch anything. It's time spent, memories made on outings with the bro and friend =0)
