KPN Topwater saved my New Years Eve quick stop before work.

I stopped and fished this morning before work. The fish were blowing up on silversides but ignoring my LC and Fluke offerings. I got the lures in there a few times but nothing happened.

I decided to switch to the KPN Topwater and while I was changing lures they blew up in range. I was way late getting the KPN in there but gave it a shot anyway.

I let the KPN sit for a couple seconds, then tapped it twice! Instant blowup and miss, I tapped it once for another blowup and miss, then one blew halfway out of the water. I could see that it had the lure.

I had to go after that! Made it to work under the wire.

I was thinking that I had a great morning because there was no traffic going into work today. Looks like you had an even better day tugging on a striper first thing in the morning! Way to go... I wish I could do that before work

I really didn't have high hopes when I tied on the KPN but figured it's worth a try. I wasn't expecting instant blowups because the fish hadn't been cooperating.

I am, glad that they came up though!
