Report 12/20

Went out with my buddy Brady for a little bass recon. Water about 62 degrees. Caught a nice 3.5 lbr when I saw some fish chasing bait. Caught several more cookie cutter LMB over the course of the day. Nothing to write home about. Two things interesting though: Some of the biggest stripers I have EVER seen in any body of water anywhere were holding trout in 1 foot of water at the ramp. Several peeps were standing on the dock observing them. These were fish in the 40 lb range. I am not embelishing in the slightest. I WISH I would have snapped a few pics but I was simply in awe as was everyone else. There was also a tank LMB there. She was beat up but easily 12-14 lbs. Very old fish by her size, scars and her color. The water was so clear it was like viewing a National Geographic documentary in person. Some guys were tossing big baits right on the other side of the buoy line but these stripers were not interested at all. Not when the real thing is right there.

Oh. I also caught this nice girl. 2.2 lbs on the scale. Dam near 17" long Biggest Crappie I ever caught. She was safely released.

saw the same thing yesterday 3 -4 huge stripers at the ramp holding those trout in about a foot of water at the ramp! looked like freaking huge yellowtail! LOL

Saw 8-10 freaking huge DD Stripey swimming circles between the two docks last Tuesday.

Nice butterball Crappie storm. We're going to hit it tomorrow, maybe those Stripeys will be biting in legal water by then...

I know you're upset about that 49'er game but come on....It was beautiful wasn't it? Such a huge comeback...pretty much cementing Harbaugh's exit as head coach. LOL off to Michigan with him. Your 49'ers need a change at qb. Didn't you know? Only white QBs win superbowls. :-) And I don't want to hear anyone bring up that Doug Williams crap. He wasn't black, he was French Canadian like Warren Moon. LOL

But doesnt that huge *** crappie amaze you? Imagine how good she would have tasted. I hope she is ok. I let her go on a different set of stairs.

those stripes still blow my mind! and how smart those trash bags where!! they would wait and when a trailer would hit the water and push trout off they came in like sharks! Cool to sit and watch!
