Waves were less than 1 ft
Cloudy but no wind :)
The spot my bro and I chose has been good to us in the past with perch so we figured we'd try it out again since its been awhile. We both worked the rocks and moved down the beach. While I was slowly retrieving my lucky past the rocks, WAM I got hit with something. Immediately I thought it was a perch because of the way this thing ran and since this one particular spot only gave us perch(and only 1 halibut lol). 14 inch hali! And from past experiences...when there's one halibut, there's a good chance another one ain't too far away.
A few min later, after moving a little farther from the rocks, I got hit pretty far out. Judging from the weight and how it ran, I knew it was a Hali :)

20 inch Hali! Woo hooo! He put up quite a fight! Thank God there was a little bit of sand so I didn't have to land em on the rocks xD
After letting this baby go, kept working my way down the beach till I got this big pig! :)

So overall 2 short halibuts, 2 perch, 1 smelt and 1 calico(new species! Yay!!!!)
New PR for halibut so now just a few more inches to go before LEGAL! :Twisted:
