First cast some HUGE HALI inhaled the
swim bait (3in BH) that I first threw. Had the Shimano cranked almost all the way down, without breaking the line, and the
the fish just Spooled me real quick !!!!:Rolls Eyes: Switched to the LC and caught a few decent one,s after that,
LC was the chosen weapon, and since there was Bait in the water, figured the solution was to find the most
amount of Bait I could actually see by the shoreline, and cast behind it at least ten feet, instead of way out there.
Had to keep moving but the actual bites did come right at the shoreline :Big Grin:

Spooled Out By A Monster !!!

You may have hooked a bat ray. I've battled those things while catching halibut as well. A 40-50 pound one will not be stopped by light gear.
