Hey guys--
For those with boating/boat experience, what are your thoughts on a 17 Alum CC for lake fishing (specific examples appreciated)? I primarily fish striper, cats, and crappie and such (not much bass are targeted) when lake fishing. I will fish DVL, Skinner, Silverwood, Havasu, Mojave, Mead. Haven't fished salt for several years and wanted a boat that could fish local inshore paddies when weather is good.
17' CC : In addition to the stand up CC, the boat has the round floor brackets for 3 extras seats.... 2 in stern area behind CC and 1 at bow platform.
So.....about 90% of my use will be freshwater lakes. You would think I should get a boat that meets my needs 90% of the time; hence my question on the suitability of a 17' CC
I also like the 18-19' Lunds (Tyee wrap around windshield models) USED....but I would be limited to freshwater.
I usually fish 2 adults (80% of the time), 3 on occasion (10% of the time).....on other occasions, wife and I and 2 kids (5% of the time) (4...lake fishing only).
