Late Post Write up

It was a semi decent day heres the count.
Me - 6 small spotties, 1 12inch spottie
My friend - 7 small spotties, 1 16in hali, 1 12inch spottie

I live in Ontario so in order for me to catch the sunrise out on the water I have to wake up early. Which I dont mind since i'm usually already up before my alarm turns on when I'm about to go fishing the following morning.

I met up at my friends house at 5:30AM and we loaded his yak. We took off and arrived at NPH at 630, sunrise was at 6:32, so we launched out and directly went towards the boat yard in front of the coast guard station

On the way to the boat yard I threw a swim bait at this mini kelp paddy, I got a mackerel first try lol, it was funny. I left immediately after and headed out to the yard, and to some docks. This is where we caught all our fish.

We took a trip near the mouth of the jetty and threw some swim baits, we didn't catch nothing out there. I started paddling out of the harbor, and passed the CDM jetty point, just for the fun of it. It was a bit to wavy to fish in that area.

We caught all our fish from 645AM to 9AM. We left around 12PM, loaded up, and went directly to wing stop before heading home. It was a good day out there and lots of fun! cant wait to get back out there

The first 3 pictures are of the 12 inch I caught, the last picture is about the same size as all the other spotties I caught that didn't take pictures of.

Hey Mike, Sorry I missed you that day but we'll have to try and meet up again. It was a bit of a tough day but the bites at around 12:30 saved the day for us. BTW, I can't upload my pics either.

Oh man the BEST fishing in the harbor is early in the morning with the tide down.

Unfortunately, we missed that window. That must have been when a nice fisherman told me the bite was wide open. It was slow after that.

Sounds like you made the most of the early morning bite out there. Nice going!
