Had plans on chasing those boiling fatties yesterday. Talked with Brobaits, TB.. one could go, one worked.
Bro baits and I decided to go while TB was working. Catching bait told me him and Figure8 told me they had plans to go as well. They have been trained on the 166 run and that's all they know so I told them to tag along with the big boys.
Talked with Brobaits about it and asked him to show the boys a few tricks, which he was happy to oblige.
Arrived at the Bako boy headquarters to find unbelievable boils. Keep in mind I had been preaching I had this school pinned down and insisted we fish a certain way, and side. Guess what? They were on the other side and we had a good head winnd to cast into. Not only that but they were no longer pinned. The boils would erupt (ferocious) 3/4 a mile down, by the time we ran to them they were 200 yds from where we were. Go figure.
Anyway, it was tough, and the fish were right there! Like TB and FWD experienced about a month ago.. we just couldnt attack them the way we wanted. Looming back we should have packed up and made the trip over to the other side.
Brobaits showed the boys (both 19) some stuff that only years of experience can obtain. They were stuck on him like stink on ****... I enjoyed watching those two absorb the info and stories of outdoorsmenship
We hooked about 10 mega fatties between us and for one reason or another we only landed 4
