Went to Puddingstone early afternoon yesterday to fish for a couple hours. There was 2 boats in the water and one other guy doing the bait and wait. The weed line seems to be braking up around the lake and visibility was about 2 feet murky brown water. The water level wis even lower than past week, it's really cool to get a view of all the structure I usually am getting snagged in. Lots of bait swimming around shallow, it appeared to be mosquito fish or some type of minnows. The bass where swallowing the little fish but I couldn't get one on topwater or jig. Anyways I tried out a new ultra lite setup I got for throwing mini jigs.( diawa presso paired with an okuma reel spooled with 2 lb line) I was able to cast the 1/32 jig a decent distance so I was happy with my purchase. Ended up sticking a nice red ear and small bass drop shotting with the new rig. Thanks for reading!
