Team Get Hooked Sierra Trip 2014

All I have to say is AMAZING scenery and better fishing! thanks to my fellow FNNers I was able to get enough information for our outing.

Left LA at 11pm and got to rush creek 5am ready to do some fishing but with non stop driving and no sleep I had to crash for at least 30 mins. Started off fishing at rush creek for about 2 hours and landed a couple of rainbows on jigs and rooster tails all C&R

Headed to June lake set up camp and off to fishing we go! Jaw Dropping lake and the fishing was just amazing, we caught over 100 fish with in the span of 2 days keeping a couple for dinner and releasing most of the ones that were caught on mini jigs and spinners. all of the fish were about 1 to 2lbs

Fished the june lake loop and I am definitely coming back next year
Thanks for all of the information and also for making my first trip to the sierras the best fishing experience I ever had

it started to get late so it was time to get some food and drinks in after a successful day of fishing

Sweet. That's wonderful to get the kids fishing early. They will remember those experiences for the rest of their lives. I've fished the Eastern Sierra for almost sixty years. There is good fishing all along the eastern sierras. Don't be afraid to explore other areas, as well. You'll be glad you did...

Yeah the kids loved it waking up earlier than me to get some fishing in! it was an awesome experience for my whole family,
Cant wait until we explore every lake in the sierras

Year, I remember being out fishing at 5 AM and over 9,000 feet high with my nose and ears freezing. Caught fish though...

Great report! Glad you had a good time, I wasn't able to make it this year to the Loop but I was able to get a piece of the action through your pics!

Cool report and nice pics, we were up there from 03-06OCT too. Getting my pics in line for a report, looks like you all had a great time.

Where'd your dad get the biggie? Beautiful fish ... any idea of the size?

The report was great ... the pictures and the family feeling made it an AWESOME report!!

He picked it up in june lake on a mice tail! and honestly we didn't weigh it in but it looks like a solid 3lber
Thank you Billy we definitely had a blast and built so many memories off this trip
