Every case is different. She may be legal without speaking English well. Without knowing the facts, we cannot make that decision. She wouldn't be voting if she wasn't a citizen. Actually, I've posted or commented on many fishing issues over the years. This heading is more often used for non-fishing issues than for fishing related ones. I never claimed to be unbiased. Do you actually read this stuff? I was raised by a very conservative, Republican voting family. I know both sides of many issues. I think about my positions more than you know. I've come to my beliefs honestly and intelligently. I don't regurgitate talking points that many politicians use. I think for myself. When I say these matters are important to discuss, I mean it. I know you believe what you post, it simply isn't true. I don't cherry pick anything. I will respond to racism as well as points I disagree with. You are doing that in this post. I didn't start with the immigrant bashing or the racism. I responded to it as I think it is short sighted and dangerous. I merely posted a video that highlights an area of public discussion which needs clarification regarding workers rights in our internet and video society. Also, I'm not at all racist and think I would have no real problems with different people who visit this board. They might well have problems with ignorant rants some people put here.

She could have been a visitor with a VISA issued by the USA.. MY wife grandparents come here for 1 month year after year and they don't speak fluent english. I work construction and there are so many legal workers that can hardly speak english and rely on english speakers like myself to communicate to the boss, and i get pissed off and tell them to stop being so dumb and learn at least basic english to speak for themselves.

I think that she had every right to call out her neighbor about the Mexican flag. Posting a video on YouTube was stupid, at least keep your identity a secret. Ms Capps was not fired because she was Caucasian. She was fired for her actions witnessed on the video. And as I previously explained, Ms Capps does not have the right to walk onto to anyone's private property and verbally harass the occupants. The notoriety she generated for herself by publicizing her deplorable actions would be sufficient enough reason for a company such as Coldwell to distance themselves from Ms Capps. It doesn't matter whether or not she was acting as a Coldwell representative at the time - her continued employment with them would be a poor reflection upon the company, and would ultimately be a liability to their business.

I have no problem looking bad to this crowd...I mean, really. I take an unpopular stance on many things and I realize my philosophies are not always embraced by many. Ok everyone calm down. I think it's time to clarify a few things. Often I need to reflect on the intelligence level of the audience who read these posts. Im not going to even reply to Will or Estabans posts as they are so asanine they have proven they are simply not in my league. No offense...Its just the way it is. Of course I am not referencing everyone, just a select few. Let me begin by saying that I do not condone what the lady did in the video. I regarded it as a bad move, especially in the state of California. I do have a problem with Coldwell terminating her employment over an issue not related to the scope of her job. Quagga's interpretation of At-Will employment does not indemnify them as workers have rights and hers are protected even though she is Caucasian. I know some of you closet racists hate that idea...you know, that whites have rights too. I know it burns you inside but I will never entertain the ridiculous double standard that our society seems to tolerate, or better, down right relish in their behaviors and actions in this state.

Further I did not threaten anyone on this forum. This is partly my fault as some of you such as Will or Esteban are simply not intelligent enough to recognize and reciprocate deeper level thought. That being the case let me explain, using smaller words, that I will never tolerate my son being bullied by anyone....especially someone of color. Everyday in my line of work I see Caucasian kids being bullied by Mexican kids and nothing is done about it. However, I witness irate Mexican parents screaming about their rights and threatening people at my job claiming racism because a bathroom was out of order. Just one example of dozens I've seen in my career. I am tired of Caucasians not being given the same protections. I'm tired of whites being portrayed in the media as weak and hapless.
