This will be my first official "Tuna" trip. And I say that because I have never been out long enough or far enough to hook one. We are headed out Saturday morning, and from the reports it looks like we have a chance. I'm relying on the spots listed here as none of us, even the cap, is experienced fishing these waters. Usually we go just outside the harbors, near the Long Beach Oil rigs, no further. This time we plan on heading out to Catalina. Apart from these GPS coordinates (http://www.fishingnetwork.net/socal/gps2.htm) we are testing our luck. One good thing is we have an excellent skipper, just not so knowledgeable about fishing, and other anglers who are experienced in fishing for tuna. Any other advice for us?

277 area has been good.
Have bait and clear the Breakwall before sunrise.
