Double A

It's been AWHILE since I've had any time to fish. Almost forgot what my fav concrete canal looked like.
I did make the annual family Mammoth trip for some trout fishing during Labor Day, and I have taken a lot of heat for that. Countless trout jokes on my behalf.
I figured I'd better go hammer the stripers to save face.
Started at 1st light & there were willing participants that wanted to play.

Water had good flow early, then around 9ish, the gates dropped & I had to change tactics.

I brought some live bait with me (which I netted at a different location, and then transported with me)
Well, the bait died quickly, so I just discarded my makeshift live well... I didn't think anyone would mind if I left it behind. It was a real pain in the arse to carry in.

So, with my live bait dead, and my growing thirst... I headed for the barn.
Can't wait for dinner... Nothing beats pan fried under sized!!!
