My original plan was to go to BB and after checking out the weather report Sat I canceled. BB was expecting to have Thunderstorms and after fishing Perris in the storm a few
weeks ago I thought No thanks! So decided Perris at the last min

We caught them everywhere, a few at the trench, a few at the dam and a few around the marina/boat launch area. We fished a few spots around the island in
12ft+ and was just killing them. I think we caught around 30 to 35 just from the island in our am and noon session. It was def a good day to break in my new
hmx rod & bb1 I just bought over labor day weekend. Even nice size gills were hitting our cranks. We used cranks and plastics all day. No giants but a fun productive day!
1 Back to back hook up and 1 Double.

Fish count: 50-LMB / 8-Bluegill
Water temp 80
Water Clarity: Stained
Weather: Mixture of sunny and cloudy

Nice! Yeah, when the LP Bluegill get big, they start eating shad. I've filleted lots of BGs with 1 to 2 inch Threadfin Shad in their bellies. Spoon fishing for BGs with ultralight rods is lots of fun!
