Damn was today FUN!

Launched from the beach at the LAB and made my way into the inner harbor for some epic sized bass action.

Total: 3 sand bass- 10" biggest

3 Calicos- 10" biggest

3 Spotties- two CHUNKS at 16" The first one hit a spinner bait and the other hit a fools bait.

Gave fly fishing a try for about 30 min. It's pretty fun but hectic to manage at the same time.

I remember my Grand-daddy once telling me when I was a younger man .... that good things come in 3's!

That's funny yesterday I was thinking I wish I had my 8-9 weight fly rod when we where in those macks and bonita. That would a been more fun than catchin em on the krocs. Nice Spotties!!

Thanks! lol I'm not a fan of the fishing style. In someways it's more of hassle than conventional gear. I just wish I had brought my 6lb rig that day! Oh well, next time right?

Yup. It will be more of the usual though. Me catching nothing and you yelling, "I got another!" every 30 seconds LOL!

Lunker Spots! Very nice! I've never had the patience with the spinner bait, but it seems to produce some quality fish.

Thanks Jaysuun! I never did too until on one of my past trips at NPH where I got absolutely hammered by a spottie. It was such a rush. Anytime I pass by a dock that looks like it will hold a nice spottie I'll throw a spinnerbait to weed him out.
