Be prepared to start exploring new structure at south facing beaches. This big swell has changed many So Cal beaches. Sand has been removed, channels cut in, sandbars ect. Next moon phase it will be interesting to explore at minus low tide. Have fun and watch out for 'New' inshore holes that have been just created.

Not only new structure but looks like water temps are up to.

3 Holes were punched in the Long Beach middle (Federal) Breakwall from the swell. One opening is 60' wide. These boulders that landed inside just created 3 new Honey Holes. :Thumbs Up:
They will probably leave them when they fix the wall.

There is lots of kelp paddies out there from all the islands that took the hit from the swell.

went out yesterday and snapped some pics, guy at the bait barge said he hadn't slept for 3 nights and the barge spun 90º...he showed us pics of the waves clearing the lighthouse over at cabrillo. First 2 pics are of the Huntington Harbor mouth.
