First off, i wanted to thank everyone who helped me out and got me on the right path. You seasoned veterans know your stuff and i'm privileged to receive all the tips and invaluable info :Worship:

Onto today...all my friends were busy so i rolled stag to the mid. Launched quickly and was on my way in search of some boils. After searching a couple areas and not seeing anything, i started the troll. Within less than 5 minutes, the first striper found its way into my boat! I knew today was going to be a good day. Trolled for about 20 minutes for nothing, then the surface started coming alive....fish busting everywhere. Pulled up the trolling rig and went in hot pursuit. After chasing fish all over the cove, i could not get them to hit my sammy, rat l trap, or anything else i threw at them for that matter....they were literally busting within a couple feet of my boat at times and wouldn't give me the time of day

Decided it was time to hit the troll again and i found this...

I passed back and forth over that area and within the next hour i had my limit in the boat and was throwing fish back....i actually lost count of how many i landed, maybe 20? It was a lot of fun, i was only trolling with one rod and had a couple double hookups on it, lol. Most of the fish were small dinks, but i landed a few that were in the 2-4# range....seemed like i started landing all the bigger units once i already had a limit of dead stripers in my livewell :Rolls Eyes:

The bite slowed down a bit, so i reeled up and went in search of some LM/SM bass for the remainder of the day. Landed one fairly quickly, but the wind picked up out of nowhere and blew me off the lake shortly after....called it around noon.

Nice job Zip. The only problem is, your addiction has just begun. You need to get to Mid on October 4th.

Funny thing is growing up mostly fishing LMB i never really sat down and studied the meter in search of fish...usually just used it to determine what depth you are at and to find underwater structure, etc. So i've been talking to others, reading, and watching videos on how to weed out fish from other stuff the meter shows...and what i saw was textbook, without a doubt fish. anyone who doesn't know what fish look like chasing bait on a depth finder....it's right there :Beer Toast:

You're gonna need a bigger boat.

BTW, I went last weekend from shore and didn't find ISH as far as boils. Stayed there from opening till closing. Must have been "one of those days."

No, there were plenty of "JCs" that were muttered throughout the day and I believe someone even prayed for boils, and they still did not occur.

Maybe we shouldve been praying towards Mecca. Who knows.

Yeah its definetly nice not living too far from the lakes. Pyramid takes me about 45 min...castaic about an hour depending on the route I take. Never been to Silverwood yet, but its on my list once the lice go into hibernation...hear its pretty bad out there.

I left them biting so theres plenty more for the taking!
