Summertime, and the fishin' is, well, pretty damn good...

But they weren't jumping much today...nobody home at C point at 6:30...took off down the fish arm looking for boils...didn't see anything but a couple solo boils here and there...got near the end and decided that between the scattered single boils and good meter marks there it might work...threw topwater on dead water and got one right away, then nothing for another 15 minutes. I put out the u-rig and got bit within a minute, and it was a double...I kept trolling and catching, had a limit of schoolies by 8:15, then took a picture of the killbox...

From then on it was catch and release until about 10, when they pretty much stopped biting for me...there were some short group boils, but the ones I could reach didn't seem interested in the hardware I threw at them...
Off the water by 10:30 and off to the cleaning table

This is a picture from today, but it looks like the one from my last post here...10-2lb. schoolies...I gave most of the last bunch to family and friends, so I'm glad to have some to munch on this weekend...

I wish these fish would stop biting so good...I want to fish all day but hitting a limit early is just too easy. :Confused:
Nice job getting them to go. That would be a good way to do it on weekend to avoid the crush of lice.

Thanks Bassfan...I'd keep fishing all day if it wasn't so hot, but if I've already caught a bunch, the bite has slowed down, and it's gonna hit 100 degrees, I wuss out and go home...since the ice I brought to keep the fish cool was already melted, it probably wasn't a bad idea to go...and the Friday afternoon lice invasion was already starting when I left.
