Going for Halibut and caught a "Wrasse" http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif At least I think that is
what it is. http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_question.gif Slime snake is more like it, with a forked split tail http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif .
The rest of todays session was just countless dinks and a few above
medium perch. Was goofing around to long in another spot and got to
the usually good perch spot on peak high tide, my fault http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif POUNDERS
in the N. Samo area, with lots of strong rips anyways.

Not too often that you see either of these fish being caught.. If you want to target rock wrasse try fishing rocky areas such as breakwalls with fresh mussel.. Use small hooks and once you find them you should be able to catch them in good numbers. You will probably also get a variety of perch along with them.. They have teeth like sheep head but their mouths are small and they can be difficult to hook. Thanks for the report..
