Spending the week in Mammoth. Son caught a nice brook trout in Mary and younger son provided some assistance reeling in a brown trout in Mammoth creek. Natives released to fight another day.

Hope the pics, post...

Very nice, the only way to get kids into fishing is to take them somewhere in the sierras where they can actually catch fish and truly enjoy the outdoor experience. We started our kids (18 and 9) there years ago, and my 9 year daughter can't wait to float tube with daddy and cast and catch on her with her own rod. I can't wait. Though I have been an unpaid fishing guide ever since I have absolutely no regrets!!!

Very nice. Those little guys will be hooked for life. How was the air quality? we're heading to Crawley next weekend to camp Im worried about the smoke from the fires.

Go to this site for the most up to date information on smoke in CA. Updates almost daily and gives you a satellite picture of exactly where it is blowing. http://californiasmokeinfo.blogspot.com/
Here is another that you can see air quality from all sources and can select Bishop if you click deeper. http://airnow.gov/index.cfm?action=airnow.local_state&stateid=5&mapcenter=0&tabs=0

Smoke is really bad today, but fishing is great.
