Don Spencer's 32.6lb Channel Catfish from 6/26/14

Finally got the photo of Don Spencers 32.6lb Channel Catfish he caught a couple of weeks back. Donny was fishing a Mackeral Head doused in Bite On Cajun and Garlic near Rocky Point when the big Channel Catfish bit. This fish was released after the photograph to hopefully make another angler smile like Donny is in this photograph.

Well it seems that the info hasn't been corrected on the fact on who caught the 50# Channel Catfish. It has never been an IFGA world record but it is in the Freshwater Hall of Fame for a world record LINE test and that would be a 50# Channel caught on 10# line. Donnie was there the night it was caught and he tried in vain to revive the fish but the long fight on 10# took a toll on the fish and after trying for like 30 minutes to revive the fish Donnie came to the conclusion that it wouldn't make it. I entered the fish on the advice of Steve Carson to the Freshwater Hall of Fame and after sending in some of the original line to be tested it was accepted as the world line class record. I even brought a picture of the fish and showed it to you Jimmy. And so Muskyman-Dave Heine did not catch the lake record Channel cat because I caught that fish!!!!! But on that very same night Dave did catch a (if I remember right) a 62# Bluecat.

Wow nice fish!!!!! Look at the gut on that fish, I wondering what he has been eating lately??? If I had to guess, it rhymes with dead pout. lol
