Yeah its kinda like that these days Devore, Its not like the good ole days anymore years ago people seemed to know what was right and wrong. Now days on the 4th I hear these jack heads rippin of full auto clips of 5.56 or better in the air. That's nuts.

Growing up as a small kid on the 4th was the best day after Christmas. We would get up early and pack up for a picnic at the park. My grandmother would have fried chicken, potato salad and stuff to feed a small army and sweet tea by the gallons. My grandfather would take his pickup to Grand Central Produce and fill the bed with watermelons and then stop at Union Ice and have them cover it a foot deep in ice. After a game of softball and horseshoes it was time to eat and get ready for the "Real Fireworks" and not the safe and sane kind. The tail gate on the truck was let down and a wood plank was put on it the butcher knife was brought out and the first watermelon was sacrificed to the God's. Anyone that was at the park that walked by was given a big slice of watermelon by my grandfather. I asked my grandfather why he always bought so much watermelon and ended up giving most of it away. He said he would always be grateful for living in the USA and wanted others to enjoy the 4th of July as much as he did.
