Roctober came in with a beautiful day to be at the harbor. As usual the competition started between Mitch & myself. Mitch pretty much had the upper hand all day as you will see in the photo's. Most of mine were not picture worthy unless the quest is to catch the smallest you can get and I did fairly well at that. I had one opportunity for the Big Bat but he managed to get all the way across the channel and saw me of on the docks opposite before I could turn him on the 10 lb. line again.

I managed to come on strong in the end and make it close.

Mitch was the winner 19-18.

The Highlights!!

Yes it appears to be a long day. But we only get out for 1 day per week so we make the most of it.

It's also an hour+10 drive from the house and to pick up Mitch and the bait shop it takes 2 hrs to get there and the trip back.

There is about a 3 hour break in the Photos due to going to Balboa Pier to get some Mac Bait and test the water for the Crabs. There were no Macs to be seen :?: and we did manage 2 very nice Spider Crab but both of them were female set free to make more!

We fished 3 different dock that day so travel between docks and the 3 hours at the pier equals about 6 hrs. fishing.

Break out the calculator. 6 hrs. x 60 min. equal 360 mins. divide by 37 fish and you get 1 fish every 9.792792792792 minutes.

Add rebait time and YES we do miss fish it makes it very hard to leave that kind of action.

Hope some of you find us and we'll be glad to share info. Just have alot of time and no commitments.
