I haven't had time to post a bunch of reports in the last month so I figured Id put a compilation of photos and an overall report for last month.
June is one of the toughest months of the year because its a month of serious transition for the bass. In June the bass at Perris And DVL for that matter can be found in 1ft of water all the way out to 50-60 ft of water. They aren't in one particular area..just kinda spread all over. I personally like to pattern the fish and June is a tough month to pattern them because they are so spread out. More times then not, June is a month of "Junk fishing"" and this June was no different.
The topwater bite was spotty, the Reaction bite was spotty, the shallow worm bite was spotty and the deep bite was also spotty..which means we needed to run a bunch of different patterns to put a good day together....And That's exactly what I did all month.. And the end result was ..some days we had big numbers, some days we had big bass and some days we had to grind to get out numbers and "good ones". That's just JUNE.... It is what it is.. As we approached July the bite started to slowly get even better. With these really hot temps we're getting now the bite at Perris will EXPLODE and the Bass will get into their full blown Summer Pattern.
In June we had fish on senkos, Dropshot, Texas rigged plastics, Ikas, Alabama Rigs, topwaters, and a plethora of other reaction and finesse baits all fished from 1-50ft deep.
As we get into July the bite not only will explode but it will become more stable... I look for July to bring Topwater fish in the morning as well as other reaction baits such as the Alabama rig then as the sun gets high the deep bite will turn on and we'll have some epic days fishing the deep water that Perris has to offer on ledges, highspots, sunken boats and rockpiles.. And for the record, the lower water will NOT affect that deep bite... It will still be AWESOME!!!
Here are a few pictures from some trips I did in June...Everyone had a blast!!! Im also including a blast from last June when I took Mike Trout from the Angels out to Perris for a morning of hammering the fish.
