I plan on being in Mammoth 18-19 July for my son's football tournament. Was thinking about going up a day or two early to explore & fish some spots. As of today, I have no idea where to stay or fish (son has to stay with his group). I know about Crowley & have a boat, but should I tow it up there..ideas??

I'll be up there during the same time frame. But will be there on that Wed Night through Monday. Will be up there for a softball tourney that weekend. If you have a float tube you could float tube twin or maime or george. Or you could take the boat out on Mary. Or even down to Convict.

The only problem with your own boat is the quagga muscle thing. I think it only applies to Crowley though. You will need an inspection to get on Crowley then they will tag your boat and trailer. So, if you plan on private boating on multiple lakes make sure Crowley is your first stop. If you go elsewhere first and your boat has as much as a wet rope or any water in it Crowley will not let you enter.
