Judge Says Border Fence Is Racist
A judge named Beryl Howell that was appointed by Obama has ruled that a border fence along the southern border of the United States is racist. In particular, Howell says that a fence would be offensive and insulting to Mexicans and poor people. After nearly a decade, construction of the wall has yet to begin. With Judge Howell’s ruling, the barriers to implementing the measure are now even greater as the measure will now need to be appealed. National Security experts inside Washington are becoming increasingly concerned that terrorists could use the border as a gateway to the United States. The Department of Homeland Security was originally supposed to plan more than 700 miles of the wall, although this never actually took place.
Many Republicans believe the Democrats are merely trying to get extra votes by turning a blind eye to illegal immigration. Since these individuals overwhelmingly lean left politically and are dependent on welfare, they could potentially change the political landscape of the United States if they were offered citizenship. Republicans therefore accuse Democrats and the Obama administration of attempting to manipulate elections through amnesty regulations.
In 2006, congress passed a controversial measure that approved a 2000 mile wall to be constructed across the entire US-Mexico border. While it was lawfully passed, it has been faced with severe resistance from Democrats who are opposed to the wall for a variety of reasons.:LOL: With more than one-third of the population in Texas having crossed the border illegally, the addition of a protective wall could mitigate some of these problems.
