I have been hitting Dockweiler more often since learning a few new tricks and tips I have been picking up from this website. Since summer has really started the corbina reports have been flooding in.
6/21
Started fishing at around 7:30
Waves 1-2 Feet Water Clarity: murky Temp 72
Bait: LC , SC's, swimbaits
Started slinging SC's for a few minutes blind casting at towards the area where I spotted a few beans. Nothing for about an hour and half. Came across a batch of clear water that looked very fishy. Switched to lucky craft. On my second cast something starts peeling off line. I wonder what it could be a few minutes later to my surprise its not a YFC or a halibut but a corbina! This is the first time I have ever caught a corbina(fair hooked) on a lucky craft.

Things began to slow down so I made a run towards the jetty. Pretty slow at first with the swimbaits but a few minutes later I land this toad.

Put up a hell of fight nearly broke me off in the rocks.
Fish count: 1 corbina (bagged) ? to many lizard fish to count 2 spotted bass (cpr)

Started fishing at around 7:15
Waves 1-2 feet Water Murky with weeds Temp 72
Bait:LC, SC's, dropshot flukes
After a successful outing my brother decided to join me.
I was after halibut but my brother was after his first corbina. Started off slinging the LC around for nothing but weeds. Saw a few corbina cruising in the skinny, switched to the c-rig. Made bait and pinned two nickel sized sand crabs on my hook. On my second blind cast my rod starts to load and then my reel begins to scream.( music to my ears) :D Tapped out to be around ~20 inches.

Bagged it for parents and continued on.
I get a call from my brother and he tells me that he has finally joined the corbina club.
Finshed the fishing session with hitting the jetty to catch a short butt

I usually catch and release but my folks give me hard time if I never bring home something.
Great way to end the week 8)

Corbina are delicious! Easily one of the best fish to eat!

They love twintail grubs too!

Nice report :)
