Was thinking about taking my friend's boat out of MDR on the 4th of July, we have had success with the bass and various rays in the past. Was just wondering if the oxygenated water issue that caused the mass chovie die off has had a long term effect on any of the harbor fishing.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey troutdog, I threw a swimbait off the MDR rocks for about an hour today. Extremely nice, crystal clear, LARGE schools of bait fish, birds diving, lots of activity. Lots of lizardfish as well.I wouldn't worry too much about the water.

I caught this sandie by the bridge.

The fish seemed very active. Another fish bit off the tail of my swimbait. I know this isn't in the harbor but hope this helps. Take it easy.
