The bite just started to pick up . Got 3 and a huge blue gill..

We were in the flats for only a big blue gill.. We fished all the spots i usually do good at too.. Then we headed parallel to the boat docks for 5 cats in like 30 mins.. Of course the bite picked up just before closing

heres a more detailed report... sorry i was like half asleep when i was replying yesterday
anchored up parallel to the boat dock right after we launched the boat at around 3, around 200ft from shore, caught a 3 pounder on marshmellow and shrimp... nothing else.
moved after an hour to our usual spot in the flats for nothing ... then moved around the flats throughout the night for just 1 bluegill... it was over a pound, guys at the boat dock said they havent seen one that big in a while.. it ate the whole shrimp
then we moved back to our original spot in front of the boat docks and caught 4 more cats in 30 mins right before closing.. all around 3 pounds.. and all on fresh mackerel with out scent... it was pretty slow that night from what we saw, and not many people were at the cleaning stations
