Nice brownie, I saw this pic up in the baitshop up there. Got it on the jointed rap right? My buddies and I fish those lakes alot for the browns. Most unrewarding brown lakes in california. But when you do hook up its usually a nice fish if your using the right stuff. This years been tough, I like fishing the lower lake, it seems to kick out more beasts.

Iv done pretty good there ripping leadcore at 5 colors. And running the rigger from 50-75 feet. Its a tough lake for sure. Rapala f18s are the way to go for sure!

What does "ripping" mean? ... and "controlled depth" ?

THANKS

Its a method of trolling I use for browns to make my lure look like a wounded minnow...it takes a stout rod to rip f18s and its not easy on your shoulder. But iv had more hits using this method than just in the rod holder. But you cant just rip leadcore because it will kink your line up. I use power pro with my leadcore. And controlled depths meaning like using a downrigger to fish down deep.

Very nice fish, and yes Upper Twin can be very tough. It's usually quality not quantity there!
