Hello fnn...this will be a short report as I'm on the road now typing this up on my cell phone. I headed down to NPH the weekends of 6/7 & 6/14 and rented a skiff out of daveys with 3 other buddies...first time there for all of us with a majority being fw guys. On the water by 8 off at 5. First and foremost, I owe this report to "the dude". Thanks for the tips bud....cheers! Started the trips at the barge, then worked the rocks and various moorings. Skiffed till 5, grab a bite and a drink, than beat feet all night. Over the 2 Saturdays fished, we landed 50+ plus fish with at least 15 different species. We caught halis , leos, rays, skates, threshers, YFC's, various bass (biggest being 2lb sandie) and a bunch of smaller fish that are still unknown to us salt newbies haha. Perhaps you'll chime in with the unknown species pictured at the bottom of the post. Threw the LC's and hammers, but all fish were taken on bait. Many new PB's set along with a multitude of snapped lines including 50 lb braid 3x. Thanks again to "the dude" and "jmericle". Tight lines and full tails!!!

We plan on heading to either mission or Coronado bay in two weeks and trying our luck down there on a skiff. Any of ya olé salty dogs have any tipz?? Thanks in advance guys

-dave

Nice bro! I see a Señorita fish (gold with black specks), A nice Butterfly Ray, a Shiner Perch, Baby Leopard Shark, Brown Smooth Hound sharks, Halibut, and one I'm not sure about, that dark one with the large scales and long dorsal fin. That is one really cool thing about fishing the salt with bait. You just never know what you will catch! What kind of bait were you using?
