Here’s the "Big News" regarding Catfish Season.
At Corona Lake and Santa Ana River Lakes, catfishing has been excellent with lots of big limits being caught all the time. Check our Daily Photos page at http://www.fishinglakes.com/daily-photos/ to see some of the recent catches. Fishing is great because we began stocking the Lakes with catfish EVERY WEEK since the end of January, about 20 weeks ago. Plus, a few weeks ago, we doubled up and are now stocking twice a week, every Wednesday and every Friday. This will be the regular stocking schedule for the summer catfish season.
The Highest QUALITY Catfish… All of the catfish the Lakes stock are from the Imperial Catfish Farm. The Farm produces some of the cleanest, healthiest and best tasting catfish in the world, all without any chemicals, drugs or antibiotics used on the fish or in the water, a claim not many fish farms can make. Imperial “Silver Cats” are highly prized in the Asian live fish markets where more money is paid for the healthy, higher quality and best tasting catfish.
Official Grand Opener is June 13, 14, 15 and we will be stocking some MONSTER CATFISH!! Imperial Catfish has some of the BIGGEST CATFISH we have ever stocked into the Lakes. MONSTER BLUES and MONSTER CHANNELS in the 20, 30, 40, and possibly heavier class. We will continue to stock these HUGE catfish all summer long, so you always have a shot at catching a MONSTER!! Remember, catfish and sturgeon over 25 pounds are catch and release only. You will receive a free pass for a safe release and photo.
