Fished from 5-til closing with bloodworms & 6lb test, Carolina rigged 1/4 oz. sinker Walked about 1/2 way down & picked a spot. One bite, that's why it's called fishing!

yeah I never really stayed past noon really cause of the heat... at least the past few times... I've always done ok from opening till about 11am-12pm and leave once the winds usually pick up.
your setup is what I use... but I throw a 1 oz sinker and cast it pretty far... and usually fish about 3/4 way down the dam... but as you say, that's why they call it fishin and not catchin...
