My son and I went out to fish the Pudd Friday evening after the weather cooled down. We arrived around 6:45pm and fished until 9pm. The water was filled with green algae and almost soupy in some parts, maybe 2-3 feet if visibility if that. We caught 4 fish in total. 2 tiny bass, 1 bluegill (the biggest one I have ever caught not sure he weight but it had beautiful colors) and maybe a 3 lb bass. All fish were caught, pictured and released to fight another day. We even saw a coyote walking around the parking lot maybe 15 feet away from us. All fish came on the drop shot with trout worms on 4lb test. In all we had fun and he wants to return this weekend to go "night" fishing again. Thanks for reading and here's some pics!

Thanks Old Pudd Fisher, I thought the blue gill was a huge bass because that thing went nuts as soon he was hooked. We have been search all over the lake for crappie that size but not luck( or any crappie)!

Always better with boat..don't rent there..if shore fishing this time of year, early morning or evening to close best times

The stone is a tough lake to fish. They do not rent boats. There is a lot of shore fishing access. I fish from a boat and its been really slow fishing lately. Got 1 dink bass sat 5-31-2014. I have seen people shore fishing and catching panfish and bass but it not easy.

That's an awesome bluegill, especially coming out of Puddingstone. And that bass is just as nice.
There's nothing better that taking your kids fishing, particularly when they catch fish like that.
Congratulations for teaching your son about catch-and-release.
