View Full Version : Slow day in the LBC but caught a bass of some kind...what is it?

I went down to the LBC this morning on a almost negative tide. Poor conditions, but I managed to catch 1 bass on a ghost shrimp hawg seeker. I think it is a kelp bass or maybe sand bass, but just not sure.

It's a sand bass. Nice going in less than optimal conditions...one better than none!:Wink:

It's always a good feeling when you hang in there long enough to catch something. I'm assuming that that was a new species for ya. Congrats if it was!

Nice little sandy with tough fishing conditions to boot, great job! I always lip my bass when removing hooks as it's much easier on the fish as the gills are quite fragile and you also eliminate any infection to the gills from dirty fingers.

Oh, and chicks dig bass thumb..lol
