Kern river or Brite lake

Can anyone tell me how low and if brite is just a mud hole. I use to go the a bunch but not in about a year. And also if the Kern river is biting. Thanks guys.

Never been to Brite but I know that DF&W will load the Kern River with planters for the holiday weekend. If you are going this weekend and can deal with the crowds the bite should be excellent.

Thanks for that info thinking about going the weekend after do you know any good spots on the upper. I have only be lucky on the lower down below the dam.

Call them. Google Brite lake and talk to them direct. They'll give you stocking info....water levels and how the bite is.
