Yep, went back to the Bay today, since yesterday was a fairly

decent bite. Threw two different baits and both did about the same,

EXCEPT http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_mad.gif http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif lost two of the 3in. B.H. Fongers to some TWO of

the biggest Bass I have ever felt on the end of a line !!! http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_mad.gif I

could not believe how heavy the first breakoff was http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif and I am saying

this with experience, HAD TO BE 18 INCHER or more. ? Strait down bendo ,

much stronger pull than any 16er ever gave me, and no head shake,

that,s why I know it was not a Hali !!! THIS IS WAR NOW !!! I KNOW THE

EXACT SPOT AND IF THIS WAS HIS HANGOUT HE,S IN BIG TROUBLE

NOW !!! http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Well, anyways http://www.scsurffishing.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif Here is what was caught .

Hey Daniel,
It looks like that fish is thinking, "Let me go, or I will bite" in the first pic.
Good Job,
Robert

Sorry to hear about the lost brutes but I'm sure there's redemption coming in the near future. Nice crop of grumps that you did get though.

Spotties are ruthless, they fight like monsters. Gotta use heavy gear near pilings if you want to wrestle In the beasts. Sucks to lose big ones, it's a pretty unsettling feeling. I'll be there Wednesday night to teach them whose boss.

I fish right along the docks in heavy structure and i still use 6 lb with no problem. I dont get how you lost one on 10 lb o_O that mustve been a hali, or even a shark, sharks DO go after lures occasionally.

I'll skip right under the docks too when the tide is just right, if you can do that, you'll get the true monsters.
