Castaic Lake Upper 5/5/13 Quick Run

I set my alarm today for 5:30am and got up...then said the hell with it's my day off.Got up at 7:30am to gather up some stuff and packed the car lightly. Drove up the 5 freeway and hit Gallions! Got me some bloodworms that own the most and some chovies! Chit chat with my buddy Steve and headed to the spot on the dam. One line 6lb test with chovie and other 8lb test on double split shot with half bloodworms ! First one played with my blood worm as I watch sippin my rockstar energy drink. Bait n rape. Then I thought about Sean Soukounian (https://www.facebook.com/sean.soukounian) chit chat talking and not paying attention and his pole almost went into the water as that striper owned his knee lmao ! So I grabbed my beef jerky and sat closer to my poles! wham,felon # one got owned! Only about 2.2 lbs. All the rest were caught about an hour and a half apart as I lost about 6 more so to unprofessional fishing "no beer". But over all the winds were only about 9 mph,it was about 77 degrees,and hardly any boats on the water! Great Cinco De Mayo ! I thought I'd be the first to go out with my new top of the line 2014 Team 57. ! Looking forward to the night fishing at Castaic at the end of this month ! Join me?!
