I'm going to the Vine this Saturday, and I'm hoping to catch a bass or two. Last year at this time I went and there were still a couple bass bedding, and we caught some on plastic craws, but what stage are they at right now? I know that the lake has trout so I'm thinking about throwing some trout swim baits like a TT or Savage Line thru. Anybody have any success recently with swimbaits? Any tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was there today and scored my personal best lmb while trying for trout. Shore fishing with an inflated night crawler was impossible for the trout because the bass just kept killing it. It's not one of the lures you showed preference to, but if you're hoping to catch way more than two bass, the crawler is the way to go if you're shore fishing. Were you ask? Everywhere I was throwing it. Boat dock cove, trout island near and far side, just all over the place right now. The bass bite is red hot. Good luck with your trip!
