Fishing Doheny state beach

Going to Doheny for a couple of days just wanted to know if anybody has fished there and what would be the best baits to use not going for no particular species just want to do some fishing thanks for you help

That is one of the best places in the entire state to surf-fish for spotfin croaker. On the breakwaters you can dropshot amongst the kelp growing along the edge and get rockfish and calicos.
