I was the first on the water this morning. I tried for stripers at the inlet for nothing so I headed out to chase LMB. It was great to see how much the water has come up in the last two weeks. Bass fishing was good until about 10:00. Then it got hot and they went into their hiding mode. I saw several males making beds on the north side of the lake. The time for catching big bass is very close.

Water is coming up for the Solar Cup races sponsored by MWD so they want the lake lookin' good.

When is the Solar Cup. Do you think the water will remain high long enough not to destroy the soon to be spawn?

Thanks Pat. It's going to be very close. Hopefully they'll keep it at full pool for a couple of weeks after the races.

I've never had a bad day at Skinner due to b-stoning. Kind of overblown IMO.

I agree with Pat. I've never noticed a difference from one day to the next after b-stoning. If they don't b-stone at least 3 times a year, the grass will take over. Advantage fish.

Hmmm Skinner must be different than every other lake I've fished right after bluestoning. You probably right I don't see how dumping some moderatley toxic copper sulphate into the lake could affect the fish in anyway.
It is necessary I suppose.

Yah, you really should try it! It is different FROM every other lake.

Good One. I think it has something to do with the wine in the area.
