I'm heading home from a Bay Area visit, brought my gear and thinking of hitting Pismo Beach area. If you have any tips or tactics for areas to target, I'm all ears. PM With specifics or post up here.

North of pier is good. Work area north to shell beach. Any tactic will work on the perch. A lot of rockfish around the rocks off shell. Good luck and post your results.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I was back in the southland before I saw it. Not much to report, conditions were not good, high winds and surf. Not much structure to target, but still a great day at the beach. Had a nice surprise when a pod of grey whales went right past the pier though.
