I was the 2nd boat on the water. I headed straight to the inlet to see if I could catch a striper or two for taco's. I caught one, about 2 pounds and that was it. I started LMB fishing the south/west side, nothing but dinks. I tried the south and east ends for nothing. I headed up to the north side towards the inlet and caught a couple of larger dinks. At 11:30 it started getting a little warmer so I decided to make one last run down the north side. I'm glad I did. I caught a couple of larger models on that swing. One was about 4# and a couple of them were about 2.5#. All in all it turned out to be a good morning of fishing.
The water temp was at 69 degrees. Very clear except on the far south and east ends of the lake. It would appear that it's going to be another bad year for moss. It's already started back in most of the coves. I saw a few beds, but they're just not ready yet.
