Went to the AO about low tide Monday. Beautiful day!
water was clear
warm day
surf-2-3 ft.

I was throwing Robert's LC (Murrieta Angler) for an hour or so and picked up the cutest little halibut. About 16 inches. Then got a call from OEX Sun Set Beach. My new Lowrance HDS 5 install was finished and ready to pick up. Called the fishing short and headed to Sun Set Beach.

Nice fish. Looks like its time to re-paint that LC LOL. But then again those war wounds may be what make the lure so good!

Congrats on the first flattie of many from the surf! That LC has been blessed by a good man and dedicated Hali hunter. It will produce more as long as you put in the time for sure!

I keep looking at the length of the LC. I haven't measured it yet, but maybe that but is longer than 16".:Embarrassed:

Great job! The legals are surely in your future. Don't do anything to that LC (except hook maintenance)--it was truly blessed by a Good Brother!

Congrats on your first hali from the surf! I've found that sometimes a beat up LC can be more effective than a new one. :Envious: And if it was Robert's, I'm sure it'll catch you a legal very soon. Good luck!
