Heard a kid caught a 22lber in the lagoon during the recent kids bass tourney.

Not sure if true or not but the pics look legit. He was in his float tube and it pulled him half way across the

lake. I will post the pic when I get home tonight.

Just got off the phone with a FOCL member and friend for years that told me that the striper catch is legit. It was caught during the FOCL LMB tourney. I've always thought it was silly that folks deny the existence of stripers in the lagoon. I truly believe that they have always been there primarily because they are a species that has ultimately invaded any body of water that is ever so slightly connected to the potable water supplies here in socal. Albeit the lagoon environment is probably not that conductive to their species being able to flourish. I remember ten years ago when DVL was a hold over trout and LMB fishery. Stripers were just a fable ..... Now look at it.
All I gotta say is thank god the kid killed it and man what a catch on 6lb test. That must have been a wild ride on a tube. I bet Butch Brown is gonna go on a striper genocide mission :ROFL:

I've also talked to Ron, the guy who caught the controversial one with the bad pics and video that never showed up. He told me who was there and took the pics. I chased it down and it looks like it's legit too.
