Been seeing lots off birds inside Queens Gate outside of Pier J this last week. Everyday Gulls, Pelicans diving. Saw SP bait boat the Bounty net some inside the wall wed.
Saw a dude Wed with a few buddies at the QM public fishing area hooked up. Stopped to check it out after work. The guy had a 10' rod and a Jigmaster bent over. After 1/2 hour of fighting it his buddies hooked 2 and lost them with other rods. One guy landed a SNGF they gaffed and kept. 45 minutes later I was ready to split, must have been a Bat Ray ? The guy kept putting his rod in a holder then took 10 min breaks. He was letting it get tired. It was dragging on too long so I bailed.
