LBC Pancake Factory...

hit the pancake factory this morning in Long Beach and on my first cast caught this pancake...

Then on the 2nd cast, I caught this short butt...

a few casts later I caught a 3rd, but did not take a picture was it was the same size as the other 2.

I caught 3 butts in about 30 minutes. I caught them on the drop shot. I was using Fool's bait in silver smoke, which looks like an anchovy. This was my first time ever catching fish using a "drop shot" method and damn does it work. I will do this again for sure.

Great job out there. Drop shot is really effective because you can fish it a lot slower since those butts can be really lazy and want it to literally dangling in their face. I just hate how beat up the bait gets but when you got light line and keep hooking them one after the other, there isn't much to complain :Smile:. That big one is just waiting for you out there. Good job working the drop shot.
There is always short halibut there waiting for the easy meal.
