Fished from about 10-3. The water was up and murky. Thought it was gonna be bright and clear, but it was windy with some coverage.
Threw a lipless crank, a spinnerbait and even a drop shot for nada.
Landed this guy around 11:30 on a jig

nice to get a report from there...i had same prob. with water clarity...did you notice any beds on that side of lake? tough looking for them by swim beach but couldn't find one.

I didn't notice any. This fish was chubby, and I got it about 15 feet out. It was chubby, but didn't show any wear from a spawn.

Yeah..Matthews report says lake in full spawn...but i don't know where they got that info..seen no signs

Can Catch some big Bass with the Jig , WTG on the 1st fish of the season . many more will follow I am sure of it !
