Bassfan took pity on me since I'm still trying to get a broken bolt out of my lower unit and invited me fishing. Capt'n invited me fishing also but I brain glitched the invite and made a plan with Bassfan. I'm sorry Capt'n, my bad.
We got to the lake with plenty of time to spare. When the crew came to open up they started recording information but not taking money. They were waiting on the Life Guards to tell them if they would open up. At 6:30 they let us in so we were on our way.
We were greeted at the launch ramp by muck!

That stuff was 12" thick out past the ends of the docks.
We set up on the spot and before we got our baits out I found that one of my reels had been shattered. Jim lent me his back up rad and we just went to fishing.

Jim was first up and second and third up, I think. He was hot stick all day.
Not long after we launched the wind started blowing down the fish arm toward the dam. We would catch a few fish then get blown off of the anchor. Then we would reset and catch a couple more fish and get blown off again. We reset the anchors at least 5 times. Both of us are sore today.
After many semi-successful anchoring attempts and cruising around looking for another place to fish and trying a spot just inside a cove and getting hit after hit by smaller fish that just shredded our baits but being blown off anyway, we deciding to stick with the quality fish and got the boat to stay.
We had a photo ginx going though. Every time we would try to take a picture, one of the rods would begin peeling line. What an awful problem to have!
I caught a 6 pound fish on a lugworm, we tried to get a picture but Bassfan's rod tip dipped and the drag started peeling. This one went for open water. We had a boat going past by out in the lake and were worried that they wouldn't see what was going on and would cut the line but they saw what was going on and gave us a wide berth. Thank you!

Here's Bassfan playing the one that went for the middle of the lake. Look at that smile!

6.5 pound, this is the big fish for the day.
Bassfan got at least twice as many big fish as I did. He was definitely hot stick! Congrats buddy!

Here's the cooler! We were wrestling fish to get them in it at the end and almost lost a couple overboard.

This is me with a couple of mine.
We pulled up stakes at 3:00 and headed home.

This is the fishfinder while we were putting stuff away.
I think we actually kept just under out limits but we both released enough little ones to make up our limits.
What a nice grade of fish! We had to work hard for them but we were rewarded for our persistence.
Thank you Bassfan for inviting me to fish with you again. You Really slayed them yesterday!
